I recently read a book on how various parties tried to nab Dr. Mengele (physician at Auschwitz) in South America. Seemed like they had a basic, and sometimes very specific, idea of where he was and what names he was using. They could have taken him if not for a lot of minor setbacks and complications, then followed by lack of funds, and later lack of motivation.
If Hitler really did survive somehow and escape to some random country, that information would have come out. There's just no way.
