2. Epictetus' Enchiridion is better, in my opinion.

because stoicism in a comfortable environment is like tearing down a ships sails in perfect weather

Auerelius is too esoteric, you don't really get actual reasoning from him.
To be fair, his writings weren't meant to be read by other people. Epictetus was a lecturer
