Prussia vs Austria, France, Russia and Sweden in Europe

Plus Britain cowardly outnumbering the French in North America to steal their colonies while they were busy in Europe instead of helping its ally Prussia

Ally Britain, feel the pain

How did Brits and specially Prussians manage to win this? In the previous conflicts of the century France managed to defeat most European powers alone.

>How did Brits and specially Prussians manage to win this?

Brits were involved mainly in North America and achieved victory thank to numbers after struggling for a decade (pic above)

Prussians didn't win anything, but they achieved a spectacular draw in Europe despite being faced by several Great Powers
Truly impressive, but still not a victory

All of Europe basically.

Because Russia. Prussia had managed to pull some brilliant wins but facing the odds of France+Austria+Russia it was just a matter of time before they would get btfo. When they finally were eating shit, the Tzar died and the new one madea incredibly generous peace because he was a gigantic Prussiaboo.

Britain financed the Prussians and focused completely on the extra-european warfront. The French had prioritized the European front and were pinned down to that theatre for years, and when victory was imminent and theycould switched their attention to proceed to remove Brit from colonial clay, the Tzar happened.

This left the French King and his Mademoiselle with a >tfw face

Happy now?

By August, Count Fermor's army, about 54,000, had finally reached the Oder, the natural border to Prussia's heartland, Brandenburg. With his central force of 31,000 he set about besieging the town of Cüstrin (present-day Kostrzyn in Poland), The Cossacks had also been devastating all of the Prussian towns and villages east of the river, as was their wont.

The one thing that Fermor didn't have with him were big siege guns. So when he set up his batteries on the eastern suburb of Cüstrin , he found himself embarrassingly out-gunned by the 2,000 man Prussian garrison.

An unhappy accident occurred, though, when a random Russian hot shot landed in a pile of straw, carelessly stacked in the open next to some buildings. The resulting fire quickly got out of hand and ended up burning much of the city before the defenders could put it out.

You could argue that Prussia won permanent domain over Silesia

Money

Britain managed to set up a really good system of public war bonds (modelled on some dutch systems) throught the 17-18th centuries, which enabled them to throw huge amounts of money into the war.

Coupled with the /army with a state/, they just invested into east prussian army, while France was rolling in debt.

It's a bit of a generalisation, but this characterised most 1700-1815 conflicts Britain had.

Been to castle Hohenzollern yesterday lads. They have the uniform Frederick the Great wore at the battle of Kunersdorf on display there, with the bullet hole clearly visible.
Pic is regimental banners of the Seven Year's War period in the castle's chapel where Frederick was buried until he was moved to Potsdam in 1991.

This was likely a pedantic, castrated self-hating American white male.

>>423227
This was likely a cultured European who has to indulge the repellent Ameripig and its manichean liberal crusade.

Unfortunately not. They were real Nazis about taking pictures inside since it's not a museum but private property of both branches of the Hohenzollern family. Google for a pic of it m8

1) Luck
2) Frederick II prowess as a general (one of the greatest of all time)
3) British Money

in that order
