There seems to be an implication of a Satanic group of some kind operating between the late 1600's and early 1700's from which the Grandier confession and Grimorium Verum seem derived, if only for their usage of the Silcharde sigil.

It's an implication, not a verified historical fact. The appearance of the Silcharde sigil in both Grandier's confession and Verum means either there's a hidden grimoire tradition that covers bits that GMP -> Lemegeton didn't, or that Satanism was a real thing historically, possibly both.

Islam has very clear descriptions of hell as a place of unending fleshly tortures. Likewise, heaven is full of pleasant sensations.
There's precedent for God setting people up to take the fall. For example, Exodus chapter 9, dealing with the plagues of Egypt:
"This is what the Lord, the God of the Hebrews, says: Let my people go, so that they may worship me, or this time I will send the full force of my plagues against you and against your officials and your people, so you may know that there is no one like me in all the earth. For by now I could have stretched out my hand and struck you and your people with a plague that would have wiped you off the earth. But I have raised you up for this very purpose, that I might show you my power and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth."
God set Pharoah up and hardened his heart when Pharoah intended to free the Israelites, in order to display his power to mankind.
This sounds really, really strange, but he did it. So it's not impossible to think that he made Satan/Lucifer deliberately to rebel against him, in order to display his power against beings much mightier than man.
