Stasi was GOAT at psychological terror, was there ever any organization that came even close to what they did? Everyone always seemed to use just physical torture.
I remember visiting one of their prisons/interrogation stations and the tour guide would tell us all kinds of stories, like how they'd intentionally make incomprehensible "bureaucratic" sounding nonsense as accusation so the accused didn't even understand what the fuck was going on and only get more confused/intimidated.
