What are your opinions on Christopher Columbus and the conquering of the Americas?
Brilliant but very cruel
I found his ploys of deception to take resources from the enemy and use them against them tactically brilliant.
I think it is strange how Native US Americans are really upset about this guy when he didn't even touch their continent (He did fuck the US Virgin Isles though).
>>305576
They're mad that foreign Americans think he is worth celebrating.
>>305576
Native Americans are upset about everything.
we change this they'd simply go back to complaining about football team names.
>>304240
He didn't conquer the mainland though, did he?
Him and Cortes did nothing wrong
>>305734
Nope, the Mainland was discovered be Leon.
>>305697
I would fuck her columbus if you know what I mean
>>304240
I relate to Todorov interpretation
>>305579
he is worth celebrating. To do anything less is implicitly to say the discovery of America was a mistake
Columbus and Martin Luther kinda teaches me how people teaches history.
that is the influence and importance first and the implications later
Vikings didn't record much on how to get to Vinland, Alfonse de Albuquerque thought it was a minor setback and thus also didn't record much.
Columbus found it, established a stable foothold on it and showed the Spaniards a way to get to it paving the way for other Euros to colonize it (including Brits).
from there it shortened down to "he discovered America"
>>305697
>you will never creampie her and force her to bear your WASP seed
>>304240
he was a girl
>>306708
The Native Americans discovered America, and were cool with the way things were before whitey found America.
>>306767
What is WASP
>>308057
>Columbus was Italian
>Americo Vespuci was Italian
>John Cabot was Italian
Why is Italy so based.
He was a Jew that manipulated the European fighting forces acting on his behalf
>>308096
>implying they saw themselves as "Italian"
Idiot
>>308115
>You are from a peninsula which mostly shares the same culture
>Only difference is between south and north but its mostly linguistical
They were Italian, not for nationality but for culture
>>308096
>
>>308082
This, to be honest.
>>307954
So what
>>307954
>and were cool with the way things were
>>310515
No you faggot you're doing it wrong
Also history text books are boring as shit and I wouldn't fucking trust a single source no matter who wrote it
Especially a school text book, because government
>>310515
Alright lads, it's been good but it's time to shut down the board
Come on, clear off
>>304240
