What's the most /his/ of video games?
>>1320097
Probably any game from the Grigsby series since they're less games and more realistic army level commander simulators.
>>1320097
Go with the Avalon Hill Civilization, not the Sid Meir one.

Pretty much any Paradox game.

Red Orchestra: Ostfront 41-45
Just bought this from GOG, how is it /his/? Wanted history + XCOM. I've heard it's not very historically accurate but whatever, more games need this setting.

Modssssss
>>1321015
It's not historically accurate since:
1) It's alt history, you're not Cortés but a conquistador who reaches Mexico before him.
2) Square tactical battles means you're a party of a few explorers instead of a group of a hundred. It's implied you have servants and stuff but you never really interact with them.
3) Gender equality issues.
It's a great adventure/survival game though, very entertaining. If you can read spanish get the spanish version, the random spanish words in the original version are a bit retarded imho. The atmosphere is great and the soundtrack solid. I love the art personally.
Are all the games proposed old because they did better history-related games back then or are people just nostalgic?
The total war series depicts warfare very accurately.
Battlefield 1 desu
