Its earliest influences are really, really old. A lot of the language in the Avestas can be traced back to 1,000 B.C.
However, it was almost entirely orally transmitted. The oldest manuscript of any Zoroastrian text we have today dates from the 12th century. The earliest reference to an actual written Zoroastrian holy book is from the second century. How much these modern beliefs match up to what was going on in 1,000 B.C. is pretty much impossible to determine., as are the whens, wheres, hows, and whys of any influences or changes.

It's actually not dualistic like the memesters will tell you. Not more dualistic than abrahamic religions. In orthodox zoroastrianism Ahura Mazda/Ohrmazd is above Angra Mainyu/Ahriman and light literally cannot lose.
Actual dualism where both contenders of the war are equals is only found in heresy and derived but different religions.
