Your pic answers your question. Either that or the Roman Empire.

Of or pertaining to the European continent

The mid to late 19th century.

I've heard it said that Rome was more an extension of middle eastern/pan-Mediterranean culture than "European"

Some say that it began with Charlemagne
>>
>>1224946
Where does the European Continent end? Is Greece European? Is Turkey? What about Russia?
>>
>>1224954

If you exclude any culture that was in some way influenced by a non-European culture you're going to have a very short list.
The Franks were heavily influenced by the Romans, and if the Romans don't count due to "foreign influence" then neither do the Franks.

Especially considering Charlemagne belonged to a middle eastern neo-Jewish cult.

good
When did this Europe have the greatest share of the world's economy, when the most wealth was concentrated within its borders? That period should be considered the "apex", as wealth corresponds proportionally to the investment in sciences and arts that finance culture.

So far, 2016.

Fuck off this thread you relativist c*cks****r. You're the only one pretending that Europe is some highly ambiguos term. No, it does not include North Africa and the Middle East. Now go s*** refugee c***.
