What does /his/ think?
Is it coming? Will it end all humanity and reduce us to slaves? Will tech be our new God? Can we escape or prevent it?

No. The whole singularity thing is an hypothetical thought experiment.
And yes, it is entirely /his/ related. There is nothing scientific about the singularity.

I don't know about speaking about 'the singularity' as such, but yeah the robots are taking over. We are going to be like the dinosaurs.

Nobody here is an expert about the future, everyone who claims they know what will happen is an idiot, all we have is speculation
We'll just wait and see, maybe it'll happen soon, maybe it won't

personally i think it's all bullshit and just like those people who said 2012 was going to be the end of days. technology is created by people. and why would people want to bring their own destruction? even if it were to happen i'm sure there wouldn't be a "whoops little mistake" that would wipe out entirety of humanity since humans would have programmed the machine to prevent itself from thinking that.

These are all the replies you will get in this thread. /his/ doesn't believe in artificial intelligence so it is useless to talk about it here. It's like trying to explain to a child why they should eat vegetables, they will refute it endlessly.
