So /his/, what was the mortality rate for tankers in the Second World War? How difficult was the tank academy? How difficult was it to be accepted into the tank academy?

The general rule of thumb was 1 KIA and 1-2WIA per tank knocked out.

More difficult than infantry school as all crew members are cross trained into other roles and they had to do most of their own maintenance.

For US, not hard. For slavs, be a manlet. Not sure for Germans but they always had a shortage of tanks to crew members.

i always found it ingenious in some way that instead wasting money and armour making tanks and planes more spacious they just recruited short guys instead
