Are there any historical drama outside of the literary media that is actually strictly or almost strictly historically accurate, aside from dramatic liberties?
ie, all/almost all props, behaviors, technologies, politics and so on are in line with contemporary knowledge of the period.

On a personal note, I detest how they portray all the historical figures as scheming-machines, human beings, even the ones in power, are deeper than that, and they have their own motivations and justifications. Jap historical manga is all pretty good. Vinland Saga of course. Gunka no Baltzar's good though it's not QUITE historical since it's a fictional mid-1800s Europe with fictional countries so you get some ahistorical stuff but it's still a great war/political series.
Cesare is great too. The creator's a great artist, especially when it comes to backgrounds/cityscapes and the like and she works with a Dante/Renaissance scholar to make sure it's fairly accurate.
