Here in indonesia we has the similar myth, actually it is javanese myth. Basically someday this country will be in the deepshit (wars, famine, natural disasters, etc) and a man / woman will emerge to lead the people who is called "ratu adil" or "justice queen" out of this catastrophe. The country will prosper again and in the end of his reign is also the end of the world. Well idk for sure but i think when ratu adil passed away the world is ended also.
