>A strong state which does not exist for the sake of its nation is not a fascist state but a tyranny
Is this accurate?

The quote is debatable, but I hardly see how it applies to France anyway.

It's not really supposed to, I just posted a French flag because I knew it would irritate French people.

Isn't Fascism famous for being extremely hard to properly define?
>>
>>1161573
Fascists just like to think they're special snowflakes who are a completely new ideology instead of being populism on steroids
>>
>>1161585
I assume you don't know, but defining an ideology is always hard as everyone tends to have a different view even under the same umbrella.

It doesn't help that fascism has a bad track record and counter propaganda.

>>1161573
You're right, I've read and heard a wide variety of definitions of fascism, probably more than I've heard of definitions of individual liberty.

Taking it at it's broadest definition still makes it easier to just call it pro-intervention free market nationalism.

ROger Griffen's defination dominates academic fascism studies, see palingenetic nationalism. I would challange the notion of populism in this, populism today is shaped by it's liberal capitalist environment

So was National Socialism. So is democratic socialism.

An empire not built for the people by the people is destined to crumble.
