Dude, seriously shut up. Go look at black pages on Facebook, stuff like theGrio and it always has a majority of people wewuzing hard whenever Egypt is brought up.

Also most Americans really do think that African is a synonym of black.

To be fair they have evidence of 'black Egyptians' that would be perfectly acceptable by /pol/ standards if it happened to instead be confirming something significant for whites or Europeans. And while I'm not saying that Egyptians were at any point black, it's not THAT intrinsically unthinkable to someone with a cursory understanding of history and geography and a bias to confirm.

Let me ask you something because I don't want to be presumptuous here: did the holocaust happen?
>>
>>1136135
Yes it did. I'm not a /pol/ tard. You however are a fucking retard.
>>
>>1136157
>I'm not a /pol/tard!

So you went out of your way to read stupid questions black people asked on the comment section of some website or facebook, and I'm to believe you have never heard a more stupid question before when belief that eqyptians were black is again, not that farfetched if you're exposed to some sloppy circumstantial evidence? Plus you're being mad and used the 'we waz' meme, you look and quack like /pol/yard.

By the way 'how can you deny that Egyptians were black?' Is just a contrived way of making a statement into a question. The question here isn't about history, it's a question about 'you' denying something related to history. The op asked for dumb history questions, and you went out of your way to bring black assertion (not question) of black Egypt into it. That's why I'm saying you're trying too hard.

I live in Australia and I did the equivalent of AP History in high school. We were just about to learn about the invasion of Normandy by the Allies when the guy sitting in front of me raised hand and asked:
>So did the Americans actually invade Europe, or did they just, like, bomb Japan?
It was by far the most ignorant thing I've ever heard in my life. He was doing AP history in a private school and was asking a question most Slovakian children know the answer to.
My teacher just ignored the question and we went on with the lesson as planned. When he started looting casualty figures, he was so embarrassed that I could tell that his face went red, and I was sitting behind the dude.

There aren't any really, unless you have watched a person be told something and they are unable to even repeat the question but that would suggest disability or intoxication. You need to divide questions into 2 categories, those that genuinely don't know and teenagers. The former needs the answer, the latter wants an argument and asks a question for the purpose of feeling smug, most of this shitty board really.

From memory both empires knew the other existed but never sent any official delegation and didn't really know anything about them at all, just considering them that one empire on the opposite side of the world thats probably full of magic fantasy shit. The chinks have a couple of records of Romans but the Romans don't have anything on their side so they might have just been merchants or something.
>>
>>1140256
There are at least two recorded cases of the Han and Romans sending delegates to eachother, both recorded by the Han.

There's one case recorded by the romans but it's not clear if the delegates they received were from Han China or from India instead.

>Can you prove that the holocaust was real?
>>
>>1142274
Holocaust Deniers don't use "facts" to support their position. Their method tends to be one of how the statements/arguments are framed. This results in a meta-level debate in which the scholar knows how the Holocaust denier is misusing language and Holocaust understanding, but less knowledgeable people don't. Hence, don't give the denier the opportunity.

My favorites
>No single written order existed saying "Go murder 6 million Jews"
>People died of typhus and starvation too
>Zyklon B was a delousing agent
>Jews only care about the 6 million (out of the 11 million total)
>Physically impossible to burn 6 million people

They deliberately spin a broad fact "up to 6 million Jews died" with another discrete fact "Auschwitz was a death camp" which creates a falsehood "6 million died at Auschwitz" - that is immediately paraded as proof that the holocaust didn't happen "as described". When unpacked, the 6 million number includes: mass shootings, starvation, disease, gassing and other. The first 3 are hard to dispute - Allies photographed the concentration camps filled with emaciated bodies, and dug up mass graves filled with bullet riddled civilians. So the effort to "disprove" the holocaust must be done quickly and insincerely in order to avoid accounting for the totality of the event.

If you ask a denier straight up his feelings about the Jews (curiously, sympathy exists for the other victims), its plain the objectives of the denial.
>Six million did not die but Jews deserve to be gassed because they destroyed the aryan race
>Nazis were stronger and smarter than the allies had it not been for the Jews. They conquered Europe all by themselves!
>Nazis did nothing wrong and couldn't have committed genocide because the Nazis were human

If you deny it happened, while also lamenting that it happened so much that you admit wanting it to happen, you might be a holocaust denier.

About four years ago in my gr.11 socials class we had this one fucking fedora lord that tried to argue with our teacher on everything he disagreed with. Some of his full retard moments were trying to explain to the teacher why the world would be better if the commies won the cold war and why Christianity is the only reason the dark ages were called the dark ages. In the same class some girl asked "Wait why did they like, mostly use muskets in WW1 if we they had like machine guns they could carry around?".

The dumbest question I heard from an idiot was: "In Shakespearean times, did they, like really kill people on stage?"
The girl had gotten gladiatorial combat and Elizabethan theater confused, somehow.

The dumbest question I've ever heard from an intelligent person I respect was: "Oh, the Bronze age collapse, was that around the same time Vesuvius erupted?" She seems to have confused the Minoan Eruption with the Vesuvius Eruption.

>Teacher uncertain, asks her to elaborate
>"...Before federation," she says. "The states were separated, right? So there would've been water there?"

the answer would be germany and partially austria, or does someone really believed they actually "changed"?

because that's pretty much what they've done since the dawn of barbarians tribes... they have tried to wreck europe and conquer everyone and failed miserable time after time and yet the betas in charge of european countries keep giving them the power to run this shithole.

(Not /pol/ but) I tried listening to this podcast called Yo Is This Racist? or something similar. A few episodes in and the host basically dropped this. The next episode he was responding to listener emails and was like OKAY FINE I GUESS and then made a point of saying it 'must have been' the only progressive platform the Republicans ever ran.

So I just stopped listening. I'm not even American and I know this stuff better. And it's not even that he didn't know to start with, it's that he clearly didn't bother following up on anything he got emailed about. Just, Welp, guess I had that one issue backwards, presumably there's no lingering gaps in my understanding of the subject...
