What happened to the Romano-British after the Anglo-Saxon invasions? Were they genocided, forced to migrate to Brittany or assimilated?

some stayed or went to ireland, some left and settled in large numbers in france and spain, but also migrated pretty much everywhere except SEA and the americas obviously

They assimilated quite quickly. Remarkably quickly. I have a theory that they were so used to Roman rule that they were actually eager to just be ruled by the Saxons and stop being independent.

They became Welsh, Scottish, and Manx.

A bit of all these

Lot of Celtic overlap in Sub-Roman Britain.

They became warlords for the saxons, like in Camelot, Arthur made them his generals.

wales used to go all the way up to lowland scotland. There are still scottish people with brythonic surnames
thats the welsh and Cornish i believe. the others were just assimilated.
DNA says the pre-roman Britons are the same people living in Britain today.
Romans, Saxons Danes and Normans had very little genetic impact on the Island.
Some impact but a small one.
