Also you guys need to stop arguing about numbers/statistics in Classical antiquity. There is literally no way of debating these numbers based on empiricism.
This has actually been bothering me for a while now, how the fuck many people actually died as a result of WWII. I've seen numbers as low as 50 million and as high as 110 million, with most estimates ranging from 60-80 million. Is there any consensus as to which estimates are the most accurate, or is it just a total crap shoot?

During WWI people in mental hospitals stopped getting food at some point. Some historians estimate that more people died because of starvation this way than because of bombings of German cities in WWII.

Why not just have casualties listed as the definitive number first, followed by the estimates of additional casualties? By definitive I mean definitive too, it's hard to argue that a civilian killed in a bombing raid would have been killed by one even if there wasn't a war.
