If you're not into VN or the drawing style is too much for you, you can try Artificial Academy 2 for a cell shading style or Sexy Beach Premium Resort (2015) from the same company (Illusion) for a more realistic style, and create the characters yourself, the character creation is really good.

If you never played a visual novel, you can use ITH + Translation Aggregator to auto translate as you play, if you're interested in reading it. And it's only useful to have an idea what's going on since it's a pretty bad translation, but I always play them like that.

The optimization patch caused Dragon P II, Merchant P, Assassin P events and many more to not work, so it was removed, the FPS will drop, but I will work to optimize the game in other ways.

You have an old version of VH, the latest is over 94% translated. The question marks you're seeing signify a problem with your region encoding, follow the instructions on the VH wikis on how to run in a different locale.

ATLAS is a translator program. Idealistically if you want ATLAS you'll also want VNR (or Translator Aggregator, or Chiitrans) to run hooked text through ATLAS to then display to you that text on VNR/TA/Chii.
Basically you'll want:
A text hooking program. Among which there is ITH or AGTH. Although ITH is generally better, more easily understandable as well.
A program for running that hooked text through machine translators. There's VNR, Chiitrans/Chiitrans2/Chiitranslite, or Translator Aggregator. VNR has the most features, also comes with an inbuilt ITH.
Your machine translators of choice. ATLAS requires being downloaded, and fiddling around with your computer's clock. VNR, Chiitrans, and TA offer many alternative online translators which obviously don't require being downloaded. These sites range from google, to microsoft, to bing, to honyaku. Though the quality of such translations can vary from better or significantly worse than ATLAS.
The rest is personal choices. Like if you want VNR/Chii/TA to run something like JParser to parse words and show you dictionary descriptions of them so you can come to your own conclusion as to what more confusingly translated lines actually mean. Or if you want kanji to have hira or kata furigana above them to help you read them (which is mighty useful if you've got simple knowledge in japanese). You can even have specific words replaced with their english equivalent for when you know オチンポ = dick.

I love everything by Tinklebell (Tsundere 1 + 2, Rondo Duo, etc.). Those are 10/10 for me. It might be lower for others if they can't stand Futa. They're the absolute best in that genre, though.
Other than that, I like games with art by Kagami or Sumeragi Kohaku. Ochiru Hitozuma and Kagachi-sama are personal favorites (I think the latter is pretty much the only one that has all NTR subcategories combined at once: Netori, Netorase and Netorare).

Hey, does anybody remember an RPG-Maker game where you played as a girl with a seal on her pussy that electrocuted people when they touched it?
The game was turn-based, but didn't go into a separate scene for battles or anything. Enemies could bunch up around you, overpower you and screw your available holes. Eventually, if you got wet enough, the seal would peel off or something and they could take your virginity (a special pretty visceral animated scene for that too). All the sex happens in real time and different pieces of gear also changed the way your character looked.
You always walk around with this really overpowered protector which also happens to be a girl. Your first task in the game was to collect some stone or something in the middle of a mountain. Eventually you would get to an in led by goblins and would get forced into wearing a maid outfit and serving them drinks, and that's the scene you learn about the paper seal. You would eventually cross a bridge and land on some bar where a bunch of men would assault you and you have to defeat them by yourself without help from your bodyguard.
It's interesting that "game-overing" doesn't end the game, you get captured and get special h-scenes from your captors, and get to try and escape. It was a really kinky game but I long forgot the name.

Personally I really enjoyed Virgin Island. It's fun, has some basic JRPG battles, and there's multiple roads you can take through the game, there's pretty nice moral degeneration path even if you stay virgin.
Demon Master Chris(pic related) focuses on yuri, but many of the scenes feature main character being dominated. It also has some light dungeon crawling gameplay.
Out of regular visual novels without gameplay, Space Pirate Sara, Armored Warrior Iris, and Valkyrie Svia all feature female protagonists being dominated. They are from developer of Taimanin Asagi games, so you can expect much of similar content.

I had a similar problem. Try using NTLEA to run it. That worked for me, the only downsite is that all the in-game text appears like a garbled mess then. VNR can still hook and translate it correctly, though.
Another game by the same developer doesn't work at all for me, though. The text is a mess there too and VNR can't hook it either. After the first few dozen lines or so the game crashes. It's always at the same point. It's really a shame since it combines two fetishes of mine, Revenge Netori (where the cucked guys deserve it) + Incest (Sister / Niece). If you try to start them normally, they crash right when you try to start them. If I use NTLEA, I get garbled text instead and the AneOyako game crashes regardless. I tried reinstalling it several times, but that didn't change anything.

Okay. I reread your original post and the problem is that you're using a fucking locale emulator instead of actually changing your locale. That's the problem with locale emulators, they make running everything more complicated and sometimes flat-out can't work with some programs so nobody knows if you fucked up or if the locale emulator did.
Change your system locale to Japanese for real.
Restart your computer.
Uninstall the game.
Re-extract the game from whatever compressed archive you downloaded.
Install with those files.
Restart your computer.
