How to achieve this effect in illustrator ?

https://www.behance.net/gallery/32508123/Nordic-Lights

I assume the uses something like WidthScribe by Astute, but what really confuses me is the mentioned tools on most of his works is "Flash+Photoshop" he is trolling right?
>>
shameless bump
>>
It's entirely possible he drew them by hand and scanned them.
But a likely method is also Mode > Bitmap > Halftone Screen > Shape:Square
>>

Its called talent buddy, and yea looks like most of his stuff is illustrated using flash.
>>
He shows some of his processes here:

I really really like his style!

good job man ,
I'm curious how are you guys making the intervals in the lines ? Are you simply cutting it with scissor tool?
>>
>>251810
I'm cutting them with the eraser tool!
>>
>>251459
Wow I really dig this

how do you create this effect?
>>
>>251856
1) open illlustrator
2) create a line
3) copy/paste it a lot of times in regular schemes (alt + drag, then ctrl+d)
4) use the eraser tool
5) ????
6) profit
>>
>>251957
Not using blend tool , you failed already
>>
>>251958
what is that
and why I should use it for this style of illustration

His process is extremely vague on HOW he does it and doesn't bother to go into detail. Just shows screen cap after screen cap to make a gif.

What a piece of shit.

O_o
... no words ... they should have sent a poet ...

(thx 4 this)
>>
>>254491
Why should he tell you exactly how he does it you ungrateful cunt?
He's obviously spent years of work getting to where he is, he didn't just beg for a tutorial
on some graphic design board of a Tanzanian cake decorating forum.
This has to be the most deluded fucking board on 4chan.
>>
>>254639
He titled it tutorial you fucking shit, what good is it publishing a tutorial if it doesn't teach you shit. How the fuck did you get enough time away from your carer to access a pc jesus fuck.
>>
>>254668
Just because he used the word 'Tutorial' doesn't mean he's tailored it to your poor excuse for an intellect. It's obviously just a rough break down for people wondering how the fuck he uses Flash to produce his work.
Man, what a whinging cunt you are, calling him a piece of shit for not giving you step by step instructions.
Grow up.
>>
>>254677
Get out of here you shitter, everyone knows what a tutorial and that shit ain't it. Also wasn't me in the first comment. Go back to /b/ and start shit where it's wanted. This is a graphic design board, be useful or fuck off

I was going to make a separate thread for this but I'd rather just branch of from this one.

For pic related, how would you about creating this mosaic/painting like effect in illustrator? Would it be easier to do in photoshop? I'm not trying to copy an image I already have, but make my own. I'd really love to produce something similar to it.

Any ideas?
