Firstly, use a vector graphics environment for logos (such as Adobe Illustrator, Inkscape, Corel Draw, etc)
Secondly, use a grid while designing to enhance proportions, give your design some rhythm and balance.

I like the shape, but execution is bad.

For some reason it reminds me of printer companys or companys that produce copy paper or something.
