Which NBA team has the best logo?
Which has the worst?
Milwaukee's new logo is top tier, imo
This is a thread about graphic design.

Their 60's logo (not sure if I like this more or their new one more)
current i'm assuming? there are a lot of vintage nba logos i love (some of them admittedly kind of ugly, but fuck it)
current top tier:
Golden State Warriors
Atlanta Hawks
and Chicago Bulls because they've never needed to change. It's so iconic. Doesn't really make any sense but it works.
I'm biased though because I'm a chicagoan. Blackhawks jersey/logo is the best in sports.
>>242768
Not a big fan of the new bucks logo. I don't really like the clippers new logo either. Atlanta Hawks are goat tho
>>242769
>Chicago Bulls because they've never needed to change.
This, honestly.
Perfect example of "If it ain't broke, don't fix it"
An unused sketch for the Knicks logo redesign from a while back
NBA Logos throughout the years:

Cosigning the sentiment about the bulls. It's a perfect sports logo. It's got character, it looks ferocious and cool simultaneously, and it's just a great graphic
>>242771
Curious what you don't like about the Bucks logo
Gotta love the Bulls
>>242776
I don't like the colors for one. That khaki color is kind of gross. I also don't like the angles, the sharp edges on the face and neck. the typography is awful as well. A lot of teams have really bad type treatments tho.
The old orlando magic logo from the 90's is great. Not sure why they changed it.
>>242779
shit, forgot pic
>>242778
I like that the neck makes an "M" tho
but I dig what you're saying.
the old utah jazz logo. Used to hate it but now I like it alot
>>242781
Damn, I didn't even realize it was an "m". I thought he was wearing a suit
>>242782
Pistol Pete
>>242784
Forgot Image
One color treatment on the jersey. This is when they were the New Orleans Jazz btw
>>242786
Fuck I keep forgetting to include the image
I like the new raptors logo
New sixers logo is nice. I'm from philly so I'm biased but I feel this is one of the timeless nba logo designs and maybe one of my top 5. Too bad the team sux
>>242767
I think Trail Blazers have a bad logo.
It looks like a hiking shoe company, not an NBA team. It's a boring logo.
Also the Pelicans logo looks like the Skullgirls logo.
alternate knicks logo
Denver nuggets. I could go either way on this one. This is their old logo
Phoenix suns.
>>242791
I don't like the blazers logo either. What is it supposed to be? I guess a saw-blade in motion. I don't know but it never sat well with me, even as a kid. Also, that type is awful. Sports teams in general tend to have the worst typography.
>>242795
This cavs logo sucks but looks really good on the uniforms. Also the colors are good
This one is better but I don't like the colors
Here's the proper cavs logo.
>>242802
Yea I agree with you on >>242799
I like the pacers logo and the team. It's good to see paul george back in good form.
A patch with the logo of the Carolina Cougars. This is from the ABA
I'm gonna post some vintage stuff too. The typography on this stuff is much better
Posting this because the design of this card is pretty good. Plus it's Dr. J
Look at that kings logo. Also, Kansas City? Who'd have thought.
90's spurs
ABA team logo sticker sheet.
I've been watching alot of old game footage on youtube and some of the stadium logos from back in the day were pretty good as well.
Brooklyn Nets have a nice logo.
I like its simplicity; it's not too busy or tryhard.
Also for once, the typography is quite nice imo.
>>242813
I like the nets logo as well. It got a lot of hate when it was revealed. I like it because it looks good painted on the floor. The barclays center has a nice dark hardwood floor and this looks perfect on it. It looks pretty good on apparel such as hats. Also the nets were the first team to make a "coin" logo. The circle logo that's now mandated for every team now.
I don't like the Celtics logo. I think there is something funny with the line work the needs to be cleaned up. I think they have the best uniform rotation tho. The clover on the back, below the neck is a nice touch
>>242815
In my opinions, the Celtics have never had a good primary logo.
I like their 98/99 alternate logo even if it is a little obvious.

Old San Diego Clippers logo. The triangles are the sails of a clipper ship (in case anyone didn't know where they got their name from). Sorry for the small image size, it's for ants.
>>242816
YES. That is a great logo. Who cares if it's obvious.
Try not to puke looking at this monstrosity. This is the new clippers logo. The Steve Balmer clippers. It looks like they took the Chicago clubs logo to a designer and said, "just fuck this up and give it to us"
>>242818
The person who designed this got their design degree from a preschool
Another knicks logo sketch. This was done a while ago, the early 90's I think, so it was all drawn out by hand and colored with color pencils.

These were prelim sketches for a proposed redesign of the logo in the early 90's
Of all the big 4 leagues of north america, the NBA got to have the most number of teams with nice logos
This isn't NBA related, but I just wanted to share one of the best sport logos I've seen.
another non-NBA logo, the Buffalo Sabres logo is super kick ass
>>242795
>I don't like the blazers logo either. What is it supposed to be?
The fact that we don't even know just shows how awful it is.
>>242926
Thank you, came to post this. How many sports logos really have depth like this?
>biased wild and viking fan
and pic related, my favorite.
Bucks have the best
Lakers is my least liked
>>242823
Holy fuck this is awesome.
Why cant we have nice things?

We've had some bad ones (like that god awful claw with the basketball heel), but my god nothing compares to this shit. I think this may be the worst ever.
