I'm convinced oversleeping is not a meme. Whenever I sleep for 7-8 hours I feel at least okay but if I lay in bed for 11-12 hours and constantly wake up midsleep I feel like a zombie for most of the day.

Hell, I feel more aware when I undersleep with 4-5 hours rather than 11-12.

does anybody have experience working out 3 days in a row?

my lifts are advanced and lifting used to be the biggest priority in my life. but between a full time job and a side gig that's basically a 2nd full time job, my weekdays are just fucked.

so i was thinking fri, sat, sun. full body, but only 5-6 exercises per day.

Do you stretch at all or warmup before getting into your workout? I used to have fucking horrible knee pain/discomfort on my right knee while squatting but I've gotten over it recently.

I used to do both of these

but now I just do Limber 11. I think the thing that helped me the most was just walking for 15-20 minutes before I started working out. I sit on my ass a whole lot and my legs still felt tight and tired by the time I finished warming up for squats. Just walking around the block for 15-20 minutes or on the treadmill before I started my workout helped a shitton and I feel is the main thing that helped solve the discomfort in my knee while squatting.

Not sure if this will help you a lot since I imagine my pain/discomfort was much more mild than yours. I still get it from time to time but it is almost exclusively when I have done nothing but sit on my chair all day and forget to walk around for a while.

HOWEVER

tomorrow I'm gonne let myself have some coffee and have music and get hyped for my deadlifts, so we'll see if that's a thing or if I just played myself

The heat doesn't bother me though, I cut my teeth in a 30 year old pizza store in LA. Place had never been remodeled - the store broke 115 degrees easy in the summer with those stacked fuckers running all day.

I ran the gambit from Truck stop to five star. Working at the truck stop was the most fun and rewarding. Ran brunch at a five star when I was very very young and it killed the industry for me.

When it gets hot out, take a bunch of kitchen towels and soak them in water, then store them in the deep freeze and wear them under your whites after they freeze.

I always recommend having a good beater knife because the provided knives are gonna get passed around and beat up like a two dollar whore.

Any day. Fewer people with "food preferences" more families, more hearty stick to your rib food, and much less corner cutting by the owners. The thing I noticed about fine dining is the owners will flat out lie about ingredients and their origin and do all sorts of bullshit.

Its fairly rare to find a push/pull or deadlift guy who doesn't do some form of squatting, but at least then you can use it as assistance and pick the variations that don't give you grief.

I haven't seen a lot of push/pull specialist routines, but what I have seen is that they tend to go one of two ways - either they replace the usual 'squat' training with a squat that they know carries over well to their deadlift or they go full yolo and just replace every bit of squatting and squat assistance with deadlift variants and assistance.

The 315 was about a year after i started lifting... Everything on the internet always said to make sure your back is in extension when you squat, so I was overarching too hard. I collapsed in the hole, my tail rounded and that was the end. Couldn't train for 6 months

Second time, I wasn't used to knee wraps, only been training with them a few weeks, then decided to do a limit triple. I lost my balance but didn't let the spotters take it, fought through it. Felt a big pop and my legs went numb. Couldn't walk for one week, couldn't squat for almost 7.

Powerlifting is not worth my ability to walk

Never ever heard of someone losing ability to walk from squats. If anything most dangerous exercise is Bench as it can kill you even with competent spotters (which are very unlikely to be found in a normal gym). Either way it's your body man, and you have hit 505 for a triple so try without squats for a while and see how it is. Getting injured though is an aspect of training (no i'm not saying to wear your injuries like some retarded crossfitter) and so is working around them. Good luck man.

Fair points. I just feel like the kinds of results you get from Texas Method is not that great for how fucking doggedly hard the program is after you run it for a while. Squatting a 5x5 is fucking BALLS and requires huge effort. And that's fine, except your results won't even be that great.

You're honestly better off on a volume based program like sheiko, or something a little more periodized, where you do a hypertrophy phase, strength phase and a peaking phase. You get better results and your soul remains intact.

Let's be real, there's only so much weight you can add to your best set of 5 at a time, and 5s don't even translate that well into a 1rm. Where as you can run a progression that starts with sets of 8s and reduces down to triples and comfortably add weight the whole time and get stronger

Obviously the standard TM template isn't the greatest for PL but I'll be dropping OHP from it and powercleans which I've actually never done before and have no desire to do

More weight on the bar is not the same thing as stronger if you're fucking with the other variables. If I do, random examples, 250x5 one week and do 255x3 the next there's definitely more weight on the bar but its pretty blatantly not a greater set as far as overall strength goes.
