does anyone else do more than one working set of diddlies? SS, Texas method, most PPLs say that 5x5 deadlifts is too taxing, but I love them. I'm running a PPL, and just changed 1x5+ to 5x5. is there any reason not to do so much volume if my other lifts aren't affected?

what?
>doing 5x5 deads
means you aren't doing heavy deads
I do 4x3 working set on week 1 and 4x8 on week 2. Come at me plebs.

it's basically all the weight I can pick up
I do 255 5x5 (I know it's not impressive), and can't even get 275 off the ground.
Personally, I do 3x5 because after the 3rd set my form just goes to shit and I'm not setting myself up for a ride to snap city.
I'd say train however you want, we all have different bodies that respond differently and people should be more aware of this.

The fact that you can "do 255x5" and not get 275 off the ground tells me you aren't deadlifting correctly.

Then you're doing something wrong.

I used to do 5-3-2. It's pretty cool feeling a whole body pump.

my form is good. what could I be doing wrong?

Not believing in yourself.
I do 1x5 heavy, and 4x8 at around 50% weight. But I'm trying to fix my form because I never feel comfortable with it. Upper back tend to round.

your traps or rhomboids might be weak.
