>I can only do 23 pushups
>ROTC has me doing 50 to join
>1 fucking month left
I just want to die for you guys but I can't get past this number. How can I break the threshold?
>>37869024
have tried trying? sounds crazy but it might work
you could easily train yourself to do 50 if you tried
You need to do 50 for a scholarship, most battalions will let you join without one and let you train with them through the year
Just do one more everyday
Sure 50 may seem a big deal but 24 is much more manageable right? One step at a time faggot

This, I couldn't even run for 5 minutes straight before joining, but they are nice to you and let you go at your own pace

Do push ups until failure then repeat, but push yourself dont give up when you get tired stop when you just cant do anymore.

do 100 of theses before your workout 25 at a time every single fucking day
this will build everything except your upper back, as a side effect of hitting your lower back abs and most of your legs it will give you more endurance and ballance needed to hold the pushup position
im in the military and its helped me stay fit without having to cut crazy amounts of wheight to be good at running
pushups 60 and situps 65 and id do that in 1 mins time for each, run time 12:00 its shity for the run but at 240 with a 16% bby fat precetage for 5'11 its not fucking bad, that and i can do tire flips with one hand, 6 dead hang pullups(not enough this is shity), 15 dips, and most of my lifts are about 1.5 of my body wheight i would think im OK but not the fittest
all this becuase of burpes all day every day , your goal should be able to 100 in 6 mins time without hyperventilating afterwards and still have the ablility to run and lift wheights afterwards

basic shit but itll get the ball rolling
your only goal for working out should be total body workouts
your only concern should be total volume wether it be wheight pushed or reps done for calistinics you have to progressivly increase your volume
hitting to failure after your goal volume is done will explode your muslce growth
sprinting between 100 meters and 1 mile is the only way to get faster at running why becuase insisting builds the strength a power needed to go further and faster than the person next to you
Bumping. Personally can't even push past 30 (in a set, mind you) without taking a 10 second pause after 25.
Weird thing is, after a couple of pullups I can do pushups a little easier.

pullups build the lat muslces, upper back and your abs to the point that your lat muslces load your pushups, your abs control your angle of your holds and your upper back is controling your contraction easier than it would normaly have to

50 for a scholarship? Are you real? The cadet bn didn't have it that good. Though we are very very new in a super liberal city. If your cadet bn is that easy then what the fuck are you doing on /fit/ fucking push faggot, scholarship for college, stipend for natty grocery gains and commission? Bruh, super jelly.

Aaaand these are my future officers...
Doing more pushups is as easy or hard as you make it. If youre in decent shape, push hard, push often. Do 25 3 times a day for a week. Next week do 30. Then 35. Then 40. And so on.
If you're overweight, fix your diet at the same time, and do more cardio.
Gonna sound unrelated but:
>Spend a few minutes a day doing 'gymnastic style core'
>hollow hold, as shown in pic
>arch (looks like the opposite of pic)
>planks front, sides, and back
>make sure to tuck that tailbone under. No stripper butt pose.
If you do that every day for a month (done well) I assure you you will have a wealth of strength to draw from
Also for something like pushup volume you can also build it up by
>"Greasing the Groove" technique
>do 5-10 every hour
>dont over it
those are your two searchabe terms:
1. Gymnastic core training
2. Grease the groove

Is there any way to start using my back for pushups without doing a few pullups first? If I do pushups without any back warmup beforehand it always feels like my arms are doing most of the work.

lat pulldowns(its a machine but get some straps if you dont have equipment , lateral raises, standing dumbbell fly's , curls both hammer and regular , dips, and chinups
