TLDR: Family gathering today, home 75% intoxicated, clear headed but chatty and overconfident, missed workout, too many calories.
Should I just go out and lift in home gym? Sensibly as per program? Bad idea?

Sounds like you're just hunting for excuses not to lift. Depends if getting swole is important too you or not. Can always wait a bit and sober up a touch. But guessing that 6 pack of lite beer has got you completely fucked eyed may as well just quit now

Actually just wrapping wrists now. Was worried because I feel dunk enough to lift 1000000. Will stick to plan. Feel disgusted at my prioritisation.

Nah long as your lifting alls swell gotta have a few drinks here and there and unwind/be social as long as your keep training all will be sweet. Just be careful. Good luck brah

OP here, good keks after bench warm-up. Working okay though, will update with tragedy /victory.

I've worked out with a hangover before. It sobered me up quite nicely.
Just heap down some water and some electrolytes (it's what your body craves) - a lightly salted banana with some chocolate spread works great - and if you don't feel like throwing up later on, don't do cardio.

I thought electrolytes were what plants craved

Yeah this seems to be the case. Did 4 basic lifts and left it at that.
Felt like shit pretty quickly into the session.
No issues although my balance felt less than ideal during squat warm-up.
Positive is that it checked my drinking, would probably have carried on into the night but now I'm going to rehydrate and chill.
Thanks /fit/bros
