I fucking did it /fit/

Started my first workout routine today and even though I only made it through 20 minutes of the 30 for my C25K, I am proud. Going to gym tomorrow to start resistance/weights.

Been eatin' egg whites, fruit and a shit load of veggies and I feel gud (if not hungry)

A few questions though. For the first month or two what are some decent snacks I can throw in to qualm that hunger from being a total lard ass?

Also, does anyone have any set in stone starter lifting routines? I need a lot of structure for my workout to stick with it due to time.

When I started my /fit/ness ride, I was a 300 lb fat fuck with nothing but a laptop and a dream of being thin.

Then...I met my waifu.

One day on Netflix she came to me when I was at my lowest point in life, and she gave me something to live for. I dieted for two years, rode my bike and took long walks as often as possible, and went down to 225 at my lowest. Once I started lifting, I sweated under a bar while listening to her dulcet voice over my i-pod. She kept me going through my worst, and through my best, and I would still be a fat loser without her in my life.

If you like yogurt those little Greek yogurt packages are only like 100 cals and 8g proteins. I personally eat like 2 per day for snacks during work. Raw veggies are great for cutting. What sort of stuff do you like?

My biggest advice for transitioning into a healthy diet is to cook for yourself. It's almost always healthier, and can always be adjusted to make it more so. I eat delicious burgers every week, and healthy pancakes for breakfast and can cut on 1700 cals if I so choose. If your not cooking for yourself already, get in on that. Makes things super easy to track/great skill to have.

Congrats on starting man, best decision of your life. Wait until a year has past and you see the changes that can be made, you'll feel unstoppable.

I have been cooking for myself already.

Breakfast was egg white omelet with mushrooms and asparagus. Cheerios in 1% milk and a whole wheat bagel for fiber. Also had a fruit smoothie (small).

Later I had whole wheat SPAGET with a super low cal garlic sauce, mushrooms and olive oil and more asparagus.

I still have around 300 cals I can eat today which will probably be a shake and some cottage cheese and whole fruit.

I felt like shit today when I quit my Couch to 5k 20 minutes in out of the 30. But it was the first time I had gotten up and ran in about 10 years.

Just gonna stay on day 1 until my pussy ass can handle it.

Another huge issue im gonna have is staying away from chubby girls. I fucking love chubbies so goddamn much but I feel like their eating habits will destroy my new ones.

Eat lots of nuts and drink milk. Add a lot of cooking oils to your food. This will help you get healthy fats.

Also, avoid cardio because it will prevent muscle gain and is useless for fat loss.

Make sure to lift 6 days week max effort otherwise you won't make gains.

Do hit each muscle group once a week and pick 5 excersizes for each day. If it's biceps day, do 12 sets of various curls, for example.

Just follow these rules and you'll make it !

Go to your local bulk grocer (WinCo here) and get some dry roasted edamame. In 1/4 cup:

14g protein
8g fiber
130 cal

Doesn't taste incredible, but it's passably good and fairly guilt free. Also, if you have a food dehydrator and a mandolin slicer, sweet potato chips are great. Bonus, with the dehydrator, home made chicken jerky is cheap as fuck and tasty.
