I'm 5'3 and currently 150lbs. Going by what the sticky says on how to calculate calorie intake for weight loss, I've been consuming an average of 850 calories a day, all from chicken and vegetables.

I've already lost three pounds (though it's probably water weight) but I'm worried about the calorie amount itself. Is it safe? I feel like I shouldn't be this hungry with all the protein I'm eating, but I am and I'm starting to wonder if I'm not going about this the right way.

Never really counted calories I just did bulks and cuts. If I was bulking I would eat more and if I was cutting I would eat less and do more cardio. Its less efficient than counting calories but it keeps me sane.

Nothing special, really. Diet mostly consisted of chicken breast or other easy to cook shit, always stayed at a calorie defecit.

Routine was SS since last May (which didn't do much, I know), then [fithasnospoilers]boot camp[/spoiler] since March.

Starting to get back into lifting again and I'm weak as FUCK, was squatting and benching like 100lbs max yesterday on my first day in the gym in months. But this time I'm at least doing it with decent form, so I've got that going for me, which is nice?

One year apart on the day. How did I do, fit?

Down a total of 8-ish kgs over all.

183 cm at 76 kg.

I'm a student, so not much time for working out during exam seasons (~2 months a year with an average of 2 gym days per week)

Spots on chest are from severe acne, but it has died down quite a bit lately.

Realistically, how fit could I get in exactly 1 year from now? I just started dieting at 1400 calories a day. After this summer semester ends (~4 weeks) I plan on going to the gym 3-4 times a week and lifting/doing cardio.

i've been lifting for a little over a year, the skinny pictures were when I only done a little bit of weights, i've gained a lot of knowledge lurking /fit/ and a lot of people here have helped me.

Stats: 5'5" manlet at 66kg/145lbs

Standard periodization, working out 4-5 days a week deloading every 3-5 weeks depending on volume.

Ill do a Legs-Push-Pull-Legs-Arms split. Working one main compound followed by 4 accesories. One leg day is squats, the other is deadlifts. For arm days I just do BB curls and 2 kinds of db curls, and close grip bench and 2 tricep exercises.

Squats and deadlifts I stay in the 3-5 rep range, everything else I go for 8-12 reps, with a few things in the 20 rep range like calf raises and concentration curls

I'm the same height as you and I started at 250. First year I wasn't consistent and got injured but still managed to drop 30lb pretty easily. You could probably drop 50 lbs easily probably up to 80 if you are dedicated for a year. Trust me the difference in how you will feel is insane
