Hey guys, any advice for a new rowing fag? I have the concept 2 (pic related) and was wondering if anyone had any advice for it

Well, get rowing, fag.
>>
there's nothing to really say about it. You just do it...
>>
>>37813932

There's plenty of videos on YouTube. Basically the idea is, pull with your legs first, then your torso, then your arms, in that order.

I use the same machine and 5000 metres in under 20 minutes is what you should be aiming for. Rowing machines are GOAT cardio.

feels weak man, but thats at 10 difficulty

Forgot about this thread but I did 5000 metres the first time I rowed in about 25 minutes, plus I was a 300lb bag of sugary lard.

10 isn't the difficulty: the adjuster is to modify your drag factor (google it)
>>
>>37815349
dumb ass the numbers on the side aren't resistance. It's drag. They aren't the same

Bottom up. Legs, core, arms. Don't pull with your back or you'll get injured.

Ergs are fun and great workouts.

Set the "resistance" (its not resistance) between 3 and 5. Aim for 22-27 strokes per minute. Watch all the videos for technique (extend leg, then move your back then retract your arms, then same but in reverse order).

Should be able to cruise at 2:00/500m for 30 minutes after a month or so if in shite condition.

You're generally supposed to row at a drag factor of about 130. That's about 5 to 5.5 at sea level on a new rower. You can check the drag factor in the options.

Also, watch the form videos on the concept2-page a few times. Especially the one with common errors.

Set the drag factor to somewhere between 120 and 130. 4 by 10 minute staircases up every 2 minutes at 22-24-26-28-30. 4 to 5 minutes of rest between each piece.
