Protein consists of polypeptides, peptide chains made up of amino acids linked by amide bonds.

In your stomach, enzymes in your gastric acid break protein down to single amino acids, before being released to your small intestines where nutrients are absorbed.

The act of blending food DOES NOT break down the building blocks of micronutrients. If it did people could starve to death drinking milkshakes.
