How does on determine if they have good or bad genetics for bodybuilding?
Workout for 6 months and look at your shoulder width ratio and insertions

Doesnt matter, unless you plan on actually roiding and competing
YOU always have bad genetics
OTHERS mostly have good genetics
SOME may have worse genetics than you
Ignore what everyone above me said.
Here's the reality for having GOOD GENETICS for bodybuilding.
1. You stay relatively lean, very easily, even on very high calories.
2. You gain strength and size very easily (when noob gains are finished)
3. You don't get all fucked up being at an extremely low bodyfat percentage
4. You have won the genetic lottery in terms of how your lean muscle mass looks on your body when it's enlarged. 50 pounds of extra muscle doesn't automatically make you look aesthetic (Jason Blaha), but on some people it makes them look like gods.
I'd say 1 in 10,000,000 people actually have all 4 of the above.

He is like 5'9 and 230
If he lost 50lbs and went to 180, he'd still be like 40-50lbs heavier than the average non-lifting lean guy at 5'9.

you forgot : tolerates high doses of everything and responds well to them

Lifted somewhat regularly since 4 years ago.
inb4 degenerate but I do lots of alcohol and drugs that make my weight fluctate like hell.
This is how I look most of the time, but when I get to lift heavily I can gain 5lbs in a month while still being under 15% bf
