I just started 3 days ago. Gf is big into wow and took me to see the movie. Got the package codes and got all the expansions n shit but I feel super lost. Basically been doing dungeons and trying to get a grip on what I should be doing since I hear everyone talking about mythic raids which sounds pretty cool. Idk, it's an okay game but I feel like it's pretty overrated.

Haven't raided in like 5 months but I log in once a week to afk in my garrison while I try to get the motivation to pug heroic. Shit fucking expansion.

They should have just deleted all the god damn low pop servers and been done with it.
Mythic killed raiding all together, most medium population servers can't even raid it because 1 person missing on a raid night means no raid, opposed to just 10 man raids where I can have an extra 5 people sitting on the side.
The whole thing is stupid, why I'm glad when I see my friend who still raids in my old guild I'm just like.

I don't even play the game anymore, just the market seeing I can hit goldcap before legion comes out.
I wouldn't dream of wearing any sort of nerd rep shirt to the gym, as I'm right on that cusp of lifting enough and knowing what I'm doing enough that I don't stand out, but wearing a fucking WoW shirt would push me right into the "wtf are you doing here."

Used to play a long time ago 2007 to 2010.
This past November I tried it out again, it was amazing to relive it all, but it wasn't the same so I quit.
Literally, though, WoW was the BEST experience in gaming I've ever had in my life. I don't care what other game I played and how good it is, the best EXPERIENCE I had was from WoW, hands down.
