15 miles is nothing, you can still do legs in the gym on the same day if that's all you'll be doing. You should be biking for cardio anyway not to build your legs.

Iam biking 20km after my leg days(push/pull routine) as some form of light cardio.

To answer your question, you need to hit legs but do leg workouts before your biking or on seperate day.

If your goal is to have strong legs or if you're planning on racing bikes and want to have a strong sprint, you should definitely work your legs. When I was racing I'd go to the gym after classes 3x a week and ride at least 2 hours 5x a week and then race 1-2x a week. It might suck at first depending on how heavy your lifts are but you can just take it slightly easier when you go out and ride after lifting at first.

For people who cycle there's also >>>/n/
You know, fyi, just in case.

Biking and running and other leg based cardio does not build leg muscle like weights do. You know how they say that 8 to 12 reps is for hypertrophy and higher than that is a waste? Well biking is like doing a set of 5000 reps. Would you expect leg gains doing 5000 squats with 5 lbs on the bar. That's not going to do shit for you. However, building stronger legs in the gym will help you bike, especially uphill.

That said I love biking and go 40 miles a few times a week. Cardio is great for health and fun (and showing off gains on a sunny day ) but not for muscle growth.

No plans on racing i just ride for fun thanks for the advice everyone

I used to do 40 miles 2-4x week and still hit legs twice a week. Imo just eat right, have a high carb, moderate protein diet and you'll be fine
