Are sports drinks a meme or are they suitable for post workout? If they aren't suitable, why not?

Thanks for the info. I also heard that some people drink the regular kind but dilute it with 50% water.

The dyes are harmful and the artificial sugars cause insulin fuckups.

Just drink water or milk m8

Perfect drink to prevent a hang over, before bed just chug a bottle and you'll wake up without a hang over

I usually carb up with oatmeal before I lift.

Recently I've also been sipping Gatorade during my workout and its definitely made a difference. After dead lifting my blood sugars tapers down real quick to where I'm running on empty towards the end.

Gatorade keeps glycogen levels up and I have a great even level of energy for my entire workout.

It's not even that much sugar. 120 calories and 30 carbs burns up real fucking fast if you aren't lifting like a pussy.

glycogen refills in a longer time frame

you might be just hypoglycemic/light headed due to transient hypotention
