Depends on your skin type, and that's the hardest part about skin products. You want a product that works with your pH and oil type.
So, if you're acne prone, or an adult that suffers from dry patches and acne issues, cetaphil is a pretty solid choice. I have issues with whiteheads and cysts, so I use benzyl-peroxide washes that don't foam. The doc gave me a low % wash, and you can get the same results from clean and clear.
Overall, I've found a standard non-foaming cleanser, a splash of witch hazel, and a coating of cetaphil lotion after to work pretty well-- and it's cheap.

depends on skin type...I have dry skin so I use a sugar scrub and Burt's Bees Intense Hydration Cream Cleanser.
I also have super sensitive skin so I have to avoid astringents otherwise it looks like I have chicken poxs
