I have a major problem and I'm really desperate
I have shit ankle dorsiflexion. Doesn't allow me to squat for shit.

That's the max I can go,
It's not a stretching issue. I've had periods where for months I'd stretch my calves but something in the ankle itself just stops me fro going further
pls help /fit

Im having same issue with this only recently.
Used to be able to squat for hours, in heels even but ever since my new job at hospital my calf muscles have locked up.

I can't spend 30 minutes in a squat position because I can't get in a good squat position. My knees barely bend before the heels get off the ground, and if I want my knees on the ground I have to go so wide that I lose all feeling around my knees after a few minutes

Tried it, just locks up after a bit and no matter how much weight I put on the ankle it doesn't dorsiflex more, just hurts

yes same problem, did exactly the things described in the vids
maaaaaaybe a 5 to 10% increase of dorsi flexion.
my squat form is ok-ish, i can go slightly below parallel with straight back and no butt wink. then my ankles lock up/ arent flexible enough.
i'd love for some practical advice, even if anecdotal
