It is essentially anaerobic cardio.
Great for "fitness"
Terrible for teaining of any kind. Even for training to compete in crossfit, it is a horrible way to train.
But it will get you in shape.
It is exercise, not training. Essentially. Just random "workouts" of the day.
Aside from all that, the trainer certifications are piss easy to get, so there are lots of shitty coaches teaching shitty form on the olympic lifts, so there is a high amount of i jury.
Iirc something like 78% of surveyed crossfitter had injured themselves

Crossfit reminds me of when i was getting smoked at the military, and it seems that this is what attracts people to it. They just want someone to yell at them while forcing them to do a huge volume of reps and excersises so they can feel like 'warriors'.
The funny thing is when i do cardio like swimming or running i do mix up pushups, sprints and stair climbing but i don't call that 'crossfit'.

He uses good ol periodization, just like senpai rippetoe prescribes in practical programming for strength training, only with a bigger focus on strength endurance, rather than objective strength
