Hey /fit/, newfag new to lifting here and was curious what are some solid ab/core routines I can do at home with limited equipment. I have a bench, DB, BB, pull up bar, and squat rack. Also an extra adjustable bench as well as cables and a few kettle bells. Any replies will be appreciated and put into practice. Thanks again, /fit/

Also, am I the only one that digs Franco over Arnold?

Squats alone will do so?

yes

Planks, side planks, hollow body holds, ab rollouts, hanging leg raises and variations of that... Just stay away from situps/crunches.

Pullups also work your abs.

Squats obviously. Pull ups are great too.

Your core is used in nearly every exercise in some way. You can do core focused exercises, or compound ones.
Cardio running/swimming is great, as arm/leg/body rotations work abs.
>>
Don't listen to the guys telling you to *just* do squats.

Look up the scooby rotisserie core workout.

i thought my abs where pretty solid but i can only do negative dragon flags.

anyone know how long you would need to train if you want to go from negatives to full dragonflag when training 3 times a week and doing like 3 sets of 6-8 negatives ?

Abs are responsible for curving your back and bringing your shoulders towards your hips. Squats will train your abs about as much as a tricep pushdown trains biceps.

they're hardly a good core training movement as they work hip flexors mainly

Also they fuck up your back if your form is even slightly off.

Those are pretty hard for a beginner though.
