The only difference is really that sweet potatoes contain vitamin A and got some more minerals than regular potatoes.
The carbohydrates in regular potatoes are better though and regular potatoes contain more carbohydrates

Well it's a perfectly serviceable meal if you aren't eating it 7 days a week.

I think really it's because it is easy to make and most early 20 something gym goers aren't interested in / can't cook very well and have no creativity when it comes to new recipes.

I'm really glad I'm a good cook because while i don't mind it, I think I would struggle to just eat it all time.

Broccoli is fiber and vitamins and shit and again easy to make.

The meal is missing healthy fats, but most people get plenty of fats in other daily meals such as from milk. It's obviously not the healthiest thing you can eat, but for the cost and ease it's much healthier than most common alternatives in America.

How do you guys cook your broccoli?

When I first started I began blanching it and that tasted awful. So then I tried blanching it and throwing it in the pan after the chicken was cooked to soak up some of the sauce and that's alright, but I'm looking for a better method.

Also, I usually add the rice along with cut up red peppers when I do that with the broccoli so everything has that chicken flavor.
