So my dad got arrested last night for hitting my mom and is currently in jail... I'm 26 years old and had to go to work and act as if nothing happened.

My dad beat my mom once in 7th grade, but my mom also insane and tried killing me once. After that my mom never tried killing me.
My dad is an alcoholic and on rare occasions, he gets violent. I was lucky, during the past 3 years everytime that happened I was at home. I'm reasonably strong and I di full-contact martial arts, so luckily my dad fears me a little bit and never tries to fight me.
After that, he stops drinking for 4 to 12 weeks, apologizes for everything and how that will never happen. Then he starts drinking again.
I sometimes think I should choke hin out the next time. I don't want to hurt my dad, but fuck, sometimes he really deserves it

Do chest dips if you want good pecs development fast. For me it was really easy to progress when I leaned more forward, and crossed legs and out them behind me.

Both of my parents haven't been under 300lbs since before I was born.
I was homeschooled until highschool, forced into boy scouts, and family involved heavily in the baptist church. Its safe to say that my family is fucking insane.
I was grounded all 4 years of highschool because during my freshman year (first year socializing with normal kids) I defended myself against a senior and got a 2 day suspension.
My dad threw a chair at my dog once because it wouldn't stop barking when i was a kid. The dog was barking because dad was screaming at everyone over bullshit.

For all of you who didn't know what to do just be my parents.
Christian (you don't have to be Christian obviously), but laid back enough to accept things like gay marriage and are pro weed legalization. Kind of politically non-controversial (voting for Gary Johnson) so they just accept most people. Make a lot of money, but make me earn my stuff. Had to buy own car and gas and pay for college etc. Help me out if I struggle. Both physically fit. Dad runs or swims multiple miles everyday and is a veteran and my mom is still as thin as she was in her 20s. Drink socially, but not in excess (less than 3 drinks per night no more than 2 nights a week). Not hypocritical when it comes to getting mad at me. Push me to do my best. Love them to death. And they still love each other which seems rare with parents nowadays

That's rough, OP. I left my hometown just after graduation but my family situation was never any good either. It all started with my parents divorce. I lived with my mom who got legit crazy, beating me and threatening to send me into foster care all the time. Didn't see dad much, except for when my mom threw me out and I had to go live with him for a while. He lived in immigrant infested shitholes where you got robbed basically for just being white.
Anyway, we're all good now. Both parents got out of their rot and are living large now. Sometimes I think back to it and sulk for awhile, but I know they had it far worse than me growing up and I think that took a toll on them. I just don't want to walk around with hate in my heart.
