Natural tans are hit and miss. Fake tans are cancer. I tanned a couple times during the winter to try and hide puncture marks and bruising from being a drug addict but outside that i see no excuse to do that shit. Looks repulsive.

Just enjoy yourself out in the sun without a shirt and in shorts and you'll get a good tan going
I'm somewhere around 1/16th native American so when I tan(and fuck is it easy) I can literally be a hermit that never goes outside except to get from one building to another and stay tan for a whole year without any of it letting up
