Yeah it's sad as fuck, he's 57 years old and can still jog, walk, drive, and do other physically demanding things with only a little discomfort. What concerns me is his late 60's and going forward. I've read about the disease and it's not pretty. Luckily he's one of those people who really loves being active and is taking all the right medical device to preserve function for as long as possible. Corrective surgery to remove the bone spurs is an option later on, but hopefully in the next 10-15 years or so new treatments could emerge to make him more comfortable.
