I mean, there are studies that show just flexing your muscles will lead to more muscle growth than just sitting around doing nothing, and this stimulates them to be flexed...
So yes it works, it's just no where near optimal, and you'd be better off buying like a $10 ab wheel and not being a lazy pile of shit.
