Why won't anyone re-rack weights properly in that shithole of a uni gym? If I wanna go for a 20 I need to go through two 15s and three 10s and not necessarily in that order.
Also, I'm new in Sydney so I'm not so sure about this, but I'm getting the impression that paying for uni gym, at least at usyd, is a complete ripoff. Is this true? I already paid for 6 months so I'm stuck unfortunately.

Fellow /USYD/ here. Yeah no USYD's gym is a ripoff even with the student discount, you're better off finding a gym off campus. There's one at Broadway that seems bretty gud, and there's at least one on King Street, but I haven't been to any there. Also, Snap Fitness is like $35/mo, and there are plenty of those around.

Sorry mate, I was at work. My first year is through the tafe system, and it's absolutely terrible administration wise, but our teachers are pretty good, and incredibly helpful, even if you aren't in their class (bar one single teacher, but screw him). That being said, I really love the campus, and although the students are sarcastic fucks, they are all pretty inclusive. Plus the few girls who actually go here are hot as fuark. Like, Melb uni level hot. And since it's a tech institute, the competition isn't too fierce.
Also, I hear the administration gets exponentially better when you're in the uni itself.
That being said, I'm a tad jaded, since I have class every weekday, and live over an hour each way, so I'm usually pretty grumpy. I think it'll definitely improve when I live on or close to campus (hopefully next year if I save my shekels).
Oh, one more thing. We have a bit of a rivalry against RMIT, but we're objectively better.
Plus Hawthorn is an awesome place to hang out in.
