Despite calluses coming with the territory for all compound lifts, you can manage them effectively by using nail clippers to cut them, followed by either w a pumice stone or nail file to sand away the remains.
Apply moisturiser every morning and before bed and your calluses won't be that bad.

I do a lot of gymnastics training, and get callouses and rips quite often. I used a safety razor to shave down the callouses, and then pumice and moisturizer to keep my hands smooth. Allowing callouses to form is just asking for a major rip at some point.
