Let's talk Ab Exercises /fit/, what are the objectively best ones

>inb4 Squat and Deadlift

I won't fall for that meme again
>>
Kneeling cable crunches are the best imo.

Though I once got really bad ab cramp and it looked like an alien was trying to burst out of my stomach.

But yeah, nothing else hits my abs like them. Add a twist to each side every other rep to target obliques also.

I use some of the exercises on this sheet with a dumbbell/kettle in my hands
>>
>>36944823
Dragon flags, russian twists, front lever, hanging leg raise variations
on a side note, if you ever do crunches, elevate your feet on to a box or something and engage your hamstrings, that way your hip flexors won't assist in the crunch and your rectus abdominis will do most of the work
>>
>>36944823
According to science: Captain's chair and dead bug.
>>
>>36944823
planks erryday
>>
>>36944877
>>36944854

Literally nothing else is needed.
>>
>>36944882

>>
Heavy front squats
>>
>>36944882

>le isometric contraction is all you need meme.

go away.
Nobody with good abs avoids dynamic ab work.
>>
>>36944823
I just do weighted crunches on an ab crunch bench
>>
/lordosis/ here
What's the best exercise to target lower abs without engaging the hip flexor?
>>
Grave diggers
Planks
Hanging leg raises

I would say ab wheel but only if you can do it standing. Most people need years of training to be able to do that though so you might as well not even bother

I dont believe in cable crunches or any kind of crunch but that is just my intuition more than anything
>>
>>36944823
>Dyel?
8 min abs workout (get sreded) (gone sexual_
>Just fuck my lower back up
Weighted sit-ups
>I dont understand how hip flexors works
Toes to bar, crunches etc.
>Good tier
Abs wheel, one arm bench press etc.
>God tier
Sqats and dead lift
>>
>>36944956

>>
you need to buy a shotgun and start hunting down niggers

>>
>>36944823

Hanging lag raises and weighted decline situps/crunches. Thats all you need.
>>
>>36945038

>>
>>36945006

the problem is tight hip flexors, not being fat
can confirm for being 12% and having lordosis
i have to clench my buttocks all the time to have normal posture
>>
>>36945006
BF at 16%, my hip flexors are tight as fuck.

>>

>>
>tfw fell for the no ab work is needed meme

>>
>>36944927
Such as what, you faggot?
Contribute or fuck off, I'm actually trying to learn here.
>>
>>36945599
Do planks and leg raises. With planks pogress with length and then add weight, with raises start with captain's chair, then do hanging knee raises and eventually leg raises. You can go toes to hands, 1,5 reps, you can add weight
>>
>>36945084
Knee/leg raises on a pullup bar perhaps? Tends to be easier for the back for me.
>>
>>36945072
>>36945084

Just stretch your hip flexors, grab the bar and remember to pull your shoulders down, make a posterior pelvic tilt on your hip and keep it throughout the whole set as you focus on tightening your abs and raising your knees to your chest.

If anything this should have a healing effect on your spine
