>implying strongman isn't the manliest form of lifting
Any of you phags to strongman training? I started few months ago, doing a program called Cube Method. I really like it so far, just hit 200kg farmer walk today, feels good man. Yoke carry is brutal too. Too bad no stones at my gym though.
There are no men on this board.
Just boys worrying about body fat percentage.

I intend to compete in the under 200 pound catagory locally, when my shoulder heals and im back to normal strength

thors athleticism is wasted in strongman.
Ill bite. Its still a freakshow sport. Nobody cares about or really wants to be a big blocky blob that moves heavy objects around in random events.
IMO oly>strongman>power lifting>>>>> bodybuilding
C&j 580 lbs or snatching 400lbs is crazier than anything anyone in either of those sports can pull off.
I've trained with Jerry Pritchett and the way he was training was crazy. Strongmen are scary in person

Nothing beats this lift in manliness

I train strongman. Yesterday was all yoke: yoke carry, Zercher/Conan yoke carry, and overhead yoke carry. My everything hurts.

200kg a hand? That's fucking impressive mate.

Explain.
>>36819147
This is true but strongman is the most fun to participate in, in my opinion
Reminder that combat sports are far more manly than moving heavy objects.

he went from a nobody in basketball to one of the top strongmen in the world. pls tell me how that isnt a good use of his athleticism

He Push pressed my max deadlift (at the time). He racked pulled 700lbs for reps after working atlis stones. He's also like 6'5 380lbs. Really nice guy though but he's just a monster

i was wondering where z was
>>36820300
There used to be sumo, arm wrestling, and tug of war in strongman contests.
Strongmen endure far more pain than mma fags.
>>36820300
how do you impose your will on a 2 meters tall muscle golem

>200lb wrestler goes up against strongman who can literally curl 200lbs with one arm

Combat sports aren't limited to UFC, m8. Look into some mongoloian wrestling, sumo, kyokushin, etc.
>>36820605
An olympic 105kg wrestler/judoka could probably take on a strongman. Not denying that these are the strongest guys in the world but technique and fighting spirit are just as important as strength.
>>36820719
You can't say strongmen don't have fighting spirit, have you seen Kaz do the sumo event? It's only technique.

Jesus Christ that's awesome. You get any good tips from him?
