Is this just genetics? Or are there certain exercises I should be doing to hit the lower portion of my thigh?
My legs look extremely out of proportion because they are so much bigger up top than down low.
I hear front squat is good for lower thigh, should I do them?

Half-rep'ing squats only trains your legs near your knees.
Going low also hits the upper part of your legs including your ass and hamstring.

I really like 1 & 1/2 rep leg ext. where you go full extension (hold contraction for 1 sec), then go halfway down and full extension again. Really annihilates the tear drops

Some people, like yourself, want big turnip thighs and huge ass which you'll get from back squat (especially low bar). While others want smaller more balanced legs with focus on shape instead of size, like pic related. Everyone has different goals.
