Hey /fit/

What supplements or vitamins are helpful in treating anxiety/jitters/restlessness?
>>
Magnesium, L theanine, Turmeric, 5htp, B vitamins, fish oil
>>
>>36745349
Heard lack of magnesium in your diet can cause anxiety in some people.

Vodka. Rum. Tequila. Whiskey. Gin.

Appreciate the answers!

How about you just stop worrying about shit you can't change and therefore not be a faggot anymore?
>>
>>36745349
Anxiety is obsessing about the future and things that haven't happened yet. Take a breath and chill out.

Depression is obsessing about the past. It's done and nothing will change it. Accept it and move on. Take a breath and chill out.

Rhodiola, bacopa
>>

This is normie tier bullshit advice. Mental illnesses due to bad neuro chemistry is a real thing and can be overcome with supplements.
L theanine pills did more for me than an entire year of therapy.
>>
Phenibut
>>
>>36745349
General anxiety, before presentations, or otherwise?
>>
>>36745618
Will try, what's your dosing schedule and what kind of anxiety were you having?
>>
>>36745618
Popping pills to overcome mental health issues is like trying to outrun a bad diet ... it's a part of the entire process but a large portion is cognitive therapy.

You know, things like realizing anxiety is obsessing about what may happen in the future.
>>
>>36745349
Take a multivitamin. One that has a 2 pill dosage. Take one during breakfast and one during dinner.

Also take a fish oil supplement at the same time.

Then meditate.
>>
>>36745349
energy drinks, lots of them
>>
>>36745572
Unfortunately it's not as simple as just taking breath. You've obviously never struggled with serious case anxiety and depression.

I meditate and practice deep breathing daily just the stay sane from that bullshit. Doesn't take it away but it does help.
>>
>>36745618
Dose for L-theanine? Also, what can I take so that I don't get whiskey dick when I drink. Will L-theanine do it?
>>
>>36745349
I can't speak to real anxiety but if coffee makes you jittery and anxious taking a bit of l-thiamine with it can take off the edge. It was the one useful thing I picked up from Bulletproof Radio before I realized it was just a dude trying to shill his overpriced coffee with bullshit pseudoscience about mycotoxins.

LSD, did it once and it changed my life. I didn't have many friends, was very self conscious and basically just sat around all day smoking. Affter I did it, I took the world by its nuts, now I can't go 20 feet on my college campus without someone asking whats good. I'm about to graduate with honors iafter having really shitty grades in highschool and going to a commmunity college.

I took shrooms with some friends

submarines now represent all of the complicated shit in life that you really don't want but need to do just to get the one fucking simple thing that you want

Aside from that tidbit, shrooms really somehow greatly improved my ability to cope with all the stupid shit in life

m-m-muh mental health issues

do you believe every lie kikes tell you or what?

thousands of people on the net talking about their brain being fucked from them is enough for anyone with a semi functioning brain to stay FAR AWAY from their lies im sorry
>>
>>36745349
>>36745587
this, and ashwaganda
>>
>>36746892
holy shit, please dont do LSD to reduce your anxiety. >>36747037 is right, if you're in a bad place and have never done a hallucinogen before, you can fuck yourself up big time. i hate hearing 'hurr hurr only if u r predisposed to having mental illness hurr hurr'. you can be predisposed to mental illness and still never get it, so be fucking careful when thinking about putting drugs into your system. if you have a family history of schizophrenia then dont even fucking think about it. this is all coming from a guy who LOVES acid and takes it without issue, and has also seen friends get themselves in a really bad way when they do it.
>>
>>36745349
I'm still awkward as fuck and worry about shit, but my trembling went away completely once I started bulking and lifting.

That shit was without a doubt the worst part of having anxiety. glad it's over.
>>
>>36749522
>says people shouldnt believe the lies about mental issues, but tells them they have a half functioning brain...
>>
>>36745349

suffer with it x F

Worst advice ever, I started fitness 2 years ago in order to evacuate stress caused by a LSD bad trip.

Fuck off, Just fuck off

>>36745618
this guy is right but it does help to do both. you should check out niacin pills. i dont know if it was just psychological or not but i took them with fish oil every day and my mental health has gotten significantly better. also there is lots of research on niacin that i cant be bothered to post but its there
>>
>>36750562
You fucking retard, drugs are tools. A screw driver never fixed a problem that was meant for a hammer.

>dur i took acid in a bad setting and i wasn't enlightened. CLEARLY it was the drugs' fault and not mine
CLEARLY.

Hey, lifelong anxiety sufferer here. I know your pain man, living with anxiety is
like living in a house that's on fire. The best thing you can do is go to a professional to get some CBT or cognitive restructuring. Anxiety medications (eg: benzodiazepines) should only be used for treating panic attacks and not taken long-term IMO, be careful.
As for supplements:

Phenibut actually works if you take enough of it but you can develop a tolerance and dependence.

Kava root tea can help, drinking actual tea seems to be more effective than pill supplements IMO.

Chamomile tea is simple, cheap, and can be calming both to your nerves and your stomach. There is some actual evidence that compounds in chamomile interact with GABA receptors, hence the calming effect.

5-HTP if taken *consistently over a period of time* could help with anxiety (especially social anxiety) but I personally never found it particularly helpful. YMMV. It's definitely not something you can turn to if you're having a panic attack.

Magnesium deficiency can cause anxiety, but you'd have to actually be deficient which is unlikely.

anybody have experience with wellbutrin?

Nothing OTC. Any prescribed medication will basically act as a lobotomy and ruin your life

Masturbation

>>36750562
Maybe it was the drugs fault though. You could reverse your statement and come to his conclusion as well. Are you really enlightened?
>>
Yesterday I ran/biked at the gym for 45 mins. Went hard the entire time, no breaks or easing up on your tempo

Today I feel calm where as normally my anxiety kills me 24/7
