I've come to the conclusion that something is wrong with my body and squatting just doesn't work well for me. I hit a 100kg x 5 squat in the first year of lifting, and in the last 3 years I've been stalled at it. I just can't progress, no matter how much I eat, no matter what routine or method i try, squatting just feels REALLY fucking hard and painful for me.

With all that said, my legs are actually pretty muscular and big, I have tear drops and separation and all that good stuff. I am only 5'7 though and have short legs, so that's probably why they look muscular with only 100kg x 5 squat.

I am going to assume my body just isn't built for squatting really heavy weight.

Have you tried using HIP DRAHVE and eating at a surplus for a significant amount of time?

Have you tried increasing the reps if you can't increase the weight?

By the way, I'm waiting for someone to tell me the magic of how to get a stronger squat, since this is the place where everyone has a 5 plate squat in the first 6 months of lifting.

I'd like to know how you guys actually do this.

I "man up" and slap an extra 10kg on the bar to try 105 or 110kg and I can barely get 2-3 reps.

My OHP is 70kg x 5 and has stalled in similar fashion, anytime I try adding even just 2.5kg it instantly feels a million times heavier than it should, like the squats do with a few KG more added.

I started squatting the bar only 20kg and hit 100kg on 5x5 within the first year.

Ever since I've been stuck on that for the last 3 years straight. My body just doesn't seem to want to push passed that. Eating is not a problem, I've gained 20kg in the last 3 years without my squat going up, and that weight is not age gains, I am 28 years old, it's literally mostly fat.

It took you a year? If you literally just added 5 lbs per workout on 5x5 (which in reality you should have done 10-20 lbs per workout for the first few) you would reach that level within 7 months

I know it sounds retarded, but squatting 102.5kg some how feels like 120kg.

100kg in itself is still not easy, like today for example I only got 4 reps on my 3rd set and I felt like I was about to fail so I just didn't bother doing the 4th or 5th set and went straight to front squats.


I don't even know why I keep on trying to bulk, I am just getting FATTER for no fucking reason.

I squat 550 at 220 pounds.

I just try to work up to 8 reps and when i hit 8 reps i add 10 pounds to each side. Now you think, hey this guy did 20 less pounds for 8 reps, he should do this for like at least 5 right? Well its funny Im only able to do 1 solid rep.

6 years lifting 2 back injuries though.

hahaha, i havent been on just 1 routine for 4 years bro, ive done every single routine out there, the results have been the same...pretty sure routine has nothing to do with my results, since they've been horrible no matter what routine ive done

Ive done full body a bit, some brosplits, some upper lower, some PPL. Results have been the same on all of em.

Look at your legs and how crazy they are. Work the rest of body like that. Stop counting your macros and all that bullshit. After 4 years your should know how to eat. Just keep a good diet. I think I over-estimated my macros for a long time, eating wayyy too much calories.

I am eat around 180-200g protein per day. I tried eating less protein (like 100g) and I started getting weaker and fatter, then I brought the protein back up and I stopped gaining fat and getting weaker.

Pisses me off because people on here claim to eat 100g< protein and look good, and I need to eat 180-200g+ or my body-comp starts to get even worse than it already is.
