Why pump iron when you can pump wood and marble? Discuss
>>
>>36717887
hipster scam. There is literally nothing wrong with iron.
>>
>>36717887

Iron lasts longer and can handle more stress.

anything shiny and metallic is not natural anon, everybody knows that
>>
>Using natty gear

Why
>>
>Load up your wooden barbell with 3marblepl8
>Deadlift it because you have respectable, but not super impressive leg strength
>feels 45 pounds lighter than normal 3pl8
>Barbell snaps because it's basically a broomstick that you expected to hold 135 pounds at each end
>Marble weights fall to the ground and shatter
>Th-thanks
>>
>>36717887
don't bring the paleo diet to the gym, please.
>>
>>36717887
Damn, I thought I still had my natty card.
>>
>>36717947
Some metals, notably copper and gold, do appear shiny in nature.
>>
>>36717887
Fucking Luddites. This isn't Ancient Greece, we don't have to lift polished stones anymore, what with the metallurgic advances we've had in the interim.

>Why pump iron when you can pump wood and marble?

Wood is 0.5-1 g/cm^3
Marble is 2.7 g/cm^3
Iron is 7.87 g/cm^3

Wood will weaken and break using anything but baby weight. Those tools also don't appear finished in any way, meaning either I'd end up with splinters 6 months down the line, or I'd have to finish it, and fuck that.
Additionally, marble will break if it falls on a hard surface or even gets to roughly lowered on a hard surface
Iron will last a very long time no matter what, potentially indefinitely as long as it's kept dry and indoors.

Stones are Paleo. Our cavemen ancestors ate meat and vegetables and clean and jerked boulders repeatedly. Visit a box once in a while and get educated.
>>
>Typical workout equipment is pretty unsightly, which is why we tend to keep it hidden away.
Who the fuck thinks like that? Everyone I know thinks workout equipment is nice. It's the reason I don't have a bedroom--it's my gym room. I just sleep on the couch.

>Femton is designed to become a part of your home’s decor, always in view, in hopes of reminding you to use it.
So the next workout fad?
>>
>appeal to naturalism fallacy being applied to the materials workout equipment are made out of
Just why?
>>
>>36718367
Our ancestors evolved to lift wood and stone. Our bodies haven't had time to adapt to our modern, mass produced, metal and rubber weights and bars. Modern injuries such as bursitis, tendonitis, and TFWNGF are a result of this mismatch between the weights we evolved to lift, and the ones lift today.

I almost see the jump and I'm pretty sure I saw an old leather medicene ball somewhere. But marble? Fuck off, thats bullshit for rich idiots.
>>
>>36717887
the rope will be fine so long as the rope works. you would be limited to using it more on indoor clean floors. the weights look like they would chip before the end of your first workout. these look very light and these look more of like some arty crafts decor type-shit. i'm sure there are some function to all of these.

Literally an element.

Thought about doing something kinda like this, except with logs and bolts and stuff as more of a cheap home gym, like the lmao40literes guy but with a forest aesthetic
>>
>>36719427

But never as much function as rubber and steel equipment, which is why this is pointless and retarded.
